Joyce joined the IWL in Jan. 1971 & has been a member since.  During that time she held the offices of :
Chapter Secretary - 1978-1979
Chapter Vice President - 1980-1981 & again 2005-2006
Chapter President - 1982-1983 & again 1994 - 1995

State 1st Vice President - 1990-1991
State President - 1992-1993 & again 2002-2003

As state President in 2002/03, she helped to consolidate our organization into regional conferences rather than chapters hosting the conferences and as state Vice President, she and Deana Jensen were instrumental in changing the league’s general business meetings to a delegate assembly.

Joyce has been published often in both nonfiction:

Awarded the WRITER OF THE YEAR AWARD twice; 1984 and 1999.
